Description
Causes the target to give off a glow which indicates their alignment, usually for the purposes of determining what the effect of killing the target would be on your own alignment. This ritual is available as a power on most of the faith items.
Help File
The Detect Alignment ritual gives you an indication of the target's moral compass. Each god has a different way of expressing this, from mechanically precise to visceral and ritualistic.
Example
> perform detect alignment on taffyd You recite the psalm of acquisition. You speak the prayer of divination. You close your eyes and indicate your desire to find out information about Taffyd. Your eyes closed, you see Sandelfon, God of Corridors, sitting cross-legged by a complicated scale. On one side, there is a feather, on the other a small clay statuette. As you watch, the scale slowly tilts one degree toward the feather.
