This is a page to collect information on what faith.items.rod bonuses you need to successfully hold and charge faith rods with various rituals in them.

It may be useful to distinguish between getting no message when charging (apart from the normal message you get from praying) and getting a message that your prayers flow into the rod easily or very easily, since these could indicate that different proportions of gp are actually going towards charging the rod.

Batons

• Divine Hand:
  • Purple baton
    • 286 it.ro bonus: can hold it about 80% of the time (16 successes out of 20 attempts), and charge it with the "with ease" message all/most of the time (15 of 15 prays).
• Divine Sentinel:
  • Wooden baton
    • 286 it.ro bonus: can hold it about 75% of the time (22 successes out of 30 attempts), and charge it with the "with ease" message most of the time (18 of 20 prays), and the "very easily" message the rest of the time (2 of 20 prays).
• Fumble:
  • Coral baton
    • 286 it.ro bonus: can hold it about 85% of the time (26 successes out of 30 attempts), and charge it with the "with ease" message about 80% of the time (12 of 15 prays), and the "very easily" message the rest of the time (3 of 15 prays).
  • Serrated baton
    • 230 it.ro bonus: can hold it about 60% of the time (12 successes out of 20 attempts), and charge it with the "with ease" message about 80% of the time (12 of 15 prays), and the "very easily" message the rest of the time (3 of 15 prays).
• Holy Sacrifice:
  • Ribboned baton
    • 286 it.ro bonus: can hold it all/most of the time (13 successes out of 13 attempts), and charge it with the "with ease" message all/most of the time (10 of 10 prays).
• Holy Weapon:
  • Coral baton
    • 286 it.ro bonus: can hold it most of the time (24 successes out of 25 attempts), and charge it with the "with ease" message most of the time (15 of 16 prays) and the "very easily" message sometimes (1 of 16 prays).
• Longsight:
  • Purple baton
    • 181 it.ro bonus: can hold it about 85% of the time (17 successes out of 20 attempts), and charge it with the "with ease" message all of the time (15 of 15 prays).
    • 230 it.ro bonus: can hold it all/most of the time (19 successes out of 20 attempts), and charge it with the "with ease" message all of the time (15 of 15 prays).
  • Unknown baton
    • 286 it.ro bonus: can hold it all/most of the time (15 successes out of 15 attempts). (Did not charge as it was already imprinted.)
• Restore:
  • Pure white baton
    • 323 it.ro bonus: can hold it all/most of the time (15 successes out of 15 attempts), and charge it with the "with ease" message about 80% of the time (16 of 20 prays), and the "very easily" message the rest of the time (4 of 20 prays).
• Resurrect:
  • Pure white baton
    • 321 it.ro bonus: can hold it about 30% of the time (9 successes out of 30 attempts), and charge it with no message about 3/4 (23 of 30 prays) of the time (the rest of the time getting failure messages). Can hold it about 2/15 of the time (4 successes out of 30 attempts) when imprinted on a white baton.
• Sparkling Shelter:
  • Pale yellow baton
    • 286 it.ro bonus: can hold it about 85% of the time (25 successes out of 30 attempts), and charge it with the "with ease" message about 80% of the time (12 of 15 prays), and the "very easily" message about 20% of the time (3 of 15 prays).

Canes

• Endless Halls + Feedback:
  • Orange cane
    • 286 it.ro bonus: can hold it about 12% of the time (4 successes out of 32 attempts, and can't seem to charge it at all (15 of 15 prays failed) beyond the initial prayer after bestowing.

Charging messages

It's thought that different messages signify that some charge (though not the full amount) has been added; however, it's not really known how much charge gets added with these partial successes. Getting no baton-related message while praying over a baton is either a success or a partial success; it's entirely possible to get a baton to imprinted this way.

Success

• You find that your prayers flow into the white cane with ease.
• You find that your prayers flow into the purple baton very easily.
• You stumble over a prayer.

Partial success

• You have difficulty holding the forest green cane and praying at the same time.
• You stare at your rod as you pray, but your interest wanes and your focus slips.
• You shake the forest green cane as you pray, but most of the energy trickles out again.

Failure

• For a moment, you are overwhelmed by the magnificence of the forest green cane and of Hat, leaving you speechless and staring at your rod.
• You fail to properly channel your prayers into the forest green cane.
